Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to work on process and project engineering tasks in their high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing plant. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks: Overseeing manufacturing processes and making improvementsTroubleshooting equipment and processes in an assigned manufacturing area Developing and improving line layouts and making line modificationsOverseeing timelines and budgets for up to 4-6 projects at a time related to continuous improvement, capital equipment, facilities, etc. Monitoring production metrics and KPIsPartnering with quality engineers to determine RCA and resolve quality and operational issues Working closely with hourly and salary staff to achieve production and engineering goalsCompleting mechanical troubleshooting and assisting the maintenance team as needed Determining process capacity for new manufacturing processes Designing fixtures, gauges and equipment specifications in 2D softwareConducting project proposals and completing cost justifications Participating in Kaizen events throughout the plantOther duties as directed by management Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, be willing to support other engineering team members and have the ability to take ownership of projects. Individuals should enjoy spending 50% or more of their time on the manufacturing floor. This is a high-profile position that will partner daily with production and quality. Medical benefits are available the first day of employment. REQUIREMENTS for the Chemical Process Engineer:1. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering 2. Minimum of 1-3 years of process engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment 3. Experience working in related process-oriented manufacturing environments, including chemical, coating, refinery, food andor beverage industries 4. Experience overseeing capital equipment projects 5. Mechanical aptitude6. Basic project management, including overseeing project timelines 7. Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelSkills preferred but NOT required:1. Experience overseeing capital equipment project budgets 2. ERP experience 3. PLCs, robotics andor automation experience4. Lean Certification5. Experience overseeing contractors 6. 2D andor 3D modeling experience 7. P&ID diagrams 8.
