Job Overview:Mabe Trucking Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations for our fleet of tractor-trailer trucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our fleet remains in optimal condition, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.This is a full-time position based in Eden, NC. As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, develop maintenance schedules, and drive improvements in the efficiency and performance of our fleet.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of tractor-trailer trucks, ensuring they operate at peak performance.Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring quality work, safety standards, and timely completion of repairs.Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including engine, transmission, brake systems, HVAC, and suspension.Maintain and manage accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and DOT compliance documentation.Ensure fleet vehicles comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.Monitor and control maintenance costs, including labor and parts, while ensuring operational efficiency.Review and approve maintenance work orders, ensuring all necessary repairs and services are completed on time.Schedule work and prioritize tasks to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure fleet availability for operations.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role within the trucking or fleet management industry.Strong technical knowledge of tractor-trailer trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.Experience with preventive maintenance programs and diagnostic tools for fleet vehicles.Solid leadership skills and experience managing a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and vehicle inspection requirements.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems quickly.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Proficiency in maintenance management software or fleet tracking systems.Benefits:Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.401(k) retirement plan with company match.
