Employees enjoy the benefits of an established global firm with deep roots across continents as well as a flexible working environment and friendly, collaborative teams.THE POSITIONThe firm is looking for a junior level and mid-level associate to join the liability & excess coverage team in New Jersey. This thriving practice represents and advises national and international insurers in a broad range of coverage cases, including a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters, involving product liability, pollution, environmental, asbestos, talc and property liability matters.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.Conduct rigorous legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.Prepare and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs, and other legal correspondence.Engage in formal correspondence with opposing counsel and other parties.Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.Education and Experience RequiredPossesses excellent academic credentialsJD 2017 - 2023Admitted to practice in New Jersey; additional admissions a plusExperience or interest in working on complex insurance coverage mattersExcellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skillsCOMPENSATIONCompensation is DOE - $135,000 - $200,000+.The firm offers a generous bonus, based on the hours billed.ABOUT THE LAWTThe Lawt is a team of recruiters who help lawyers with lateral moves, professional development, and sustainability of practice.
