Field Service Technician

Position SummaryThe Field Service Technician is an integral member of the Barrett team who is responsible for the building, repairing, and the maintenance of the Barrett Burt Therapy Robot, both in the field and in the manufacturing facility. This person has great attention to detail and has great hands-on skills. They are a member of the customer facing team travelling to rehabilitation hospitals to perform annual maintenance on the Burt so therefore present a neat, professional image of Barrett. They are willing and able to travel 50% or more within the United States with potential for international travel in the future.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform annual maintenance on units in the field (50%+ travel)Book flights and accommodations while sticking to a reasonable budgetTravel on short notice to perform repairs to units in the fieldMaintain accurate records of work performedAssemble, test, and repair robots in Barrett's manufacturing facilityKeep a clean and orderly work environmentAssist with shipping, receiving, and packing and all other tasks related to working in a small companyRequirementsU.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-starter, "whatever-it-takes" attitudeComfortable using hand and power toolsComputer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google DocsClean driving recordValid passportHighly Valued Skills and experienceManufacturing industry experience with complex electrical-mechanical assembliesFamiliarity with Linux and command-line interfaces a plusSoldering, use of DMM and oscilloscopePrior Field Service experienceExperience working in quality-regulated (ISO 900113485) environmentHow to ApplyEmail your resume and cover letter to with the subject heading "Field Service Technician." Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
