The primary duty of the OSS is to provide technical expertise & support in facilitating the smooth running of the IT service technology platforms. OSS is responsible to assist users in respective sites for any IT related issuesqueriesconcerns.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesProven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, or similar roleGood understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech productsHands-on experience with WindowsLinuxMac OS installation, reimaging & troubleshootingHands-on experience in troubleshooting laptop, desktop, thin clients, printer, telephony hardware issuesHands-on experience in troubleshooting basic network, VPN, email (G suite)Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic software technical issuesFamiliarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. Beyond trust, ServiceNow, etc.)Manage hardware purchase request & responsible for updating the computer hardware inventoryMonitoring of incidents and service requests in ServiceNowCreation of documents for proceduresAbility to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal (Bilingual English & French)Experience working in MFGLab clean roomsProvide support during non-business hours (on-call) when required HCL is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, andor local law.
