With a loyal following across various demographics, AriZona pulls its own inspiration from its fierce social media following and devoted fan base.SummaryObjective: The Compliance Paralegal will play a key role within AriZona Beverages' Legal Department, providing essential assistance to in-house counsel and collaborating with businesspeople throughout the Company. This position involves a variety of legal tasks, including, but not limited to, alcohol compliance, licensing, regulatory matters, contract review and additional matters handled by the Legal Department. The Paralegal will help enhance the efficiency of the Legal Department by organizing case files, managing deadlines and providing administrative support to in-house counsel and other staff. Essential Functions: Navigate, facilitate and monitor complex compliance projects for the Company. Research and analyze issues related to alcohol compliance and licensing and work with business to resolve any issues and challenges. Provide guidance on relevant federal, state and local alcohol laws and regulations. Directly participate in licensing and compliance efforts, including monthly, quarterly and annual tax and regulatory filings. Complete and submit applications for alcoholic beverage licenses, including retail, manufacturing, wholesale, permits, certificates of compliance and supplier licenses. Manage the full licensing process, including applications, license transfers and changes in control. Gather necessary information to complete applications, track progress and ensure timely and efficient completion of projects. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on licenses and permits, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Collaborate with licensing authorities at the state level (all 50 states) and with the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Review applications and supporting documents to ensure they satisfy compliance standards, preparing them for presentation to regulatory boards. Support the Legal Department with additional tasks, as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Paralegal certification preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of paralegal experience, ideally with a focus on alcohol-related compliance andor licensing. Solid understanding of legal procedures, protocols and relevant laws that are applicable to AriZona's business. Knowledge of federal, state and local alcohol laws, regulations and compliance requirements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail. Experience with case management software and legal document management. Strong organizational skills, ability to work under strict deadlines and effectively manage multiple time-sensitive projects. Experience in analyzing complex regulatory requirements and taking initiative to provide actionable solutions. Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: Corporate office setting (5 days a week).
