Process Engineer, Embedded The Process Engineer will be an embedded key member of our client's start-up team for a new, state of the art, chemical plant. Work in commissioning, start-up, punch-out, training of operators, and final customer qualifications. Monitor routine operations of chemical processing units to assure compliance with established safety and operating policies and procedures and guidance in correction of the problems. Participate in continuous improvement, problem solving and goal setting. Act as plant coordinator of process safety management program. ResponsibilitiesImplement productionprocessing methods and controls to meet quality & production standards in a safe and cost efficient mannerImplement standards for measuring and reporting operational reliability as a reflection of operational function effectivenessVerify startup and commissioning of systemsPerform installation walk downs and train operations as necessaryPrepare process engineering designs, calculations, and reports for various projects around the companyParticipates in facility shutdowns, assist with inspections, and provide a resource when trouble-shooting problemsParticipate in the site P&ID programParticipate on various special project teams and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external rules and regulationsProcess Engineering resource for the company to assure the utilization of Good EngineeringImplement systems to comply with OSHA PSM to guide and initiatemonitoraudit site safety. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or similar degree7+ years of experience in process engineering and designExperience working on site at a plant, preferably a chemical plantProficiency in Process design, analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizationExperience with startup and commissioningAbility to perform installation walk downs and understand engineering design to then train operations as necessaryStrong knowledge of OSHA PSM to guide and initiatemonitoraudit site safety in a chemical process environment.Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety.
