Our client is renowned for delivering quick approvals, personalized service, and competitive rates, empowering commercial real estate professionals with the capital they need to grow their businesses.Position Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Underwriter to join our client's growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial and property data, and ensuring that underwriting decisions align with company risk policies. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in real estate underwriting, financial analysis, or commercial lending. The Underwriter will work closely with the sales, processing, and legal teams to assess risk, structure loan terms, and ensure sound lending decisions that protect the company while enabling growth for borrowers.Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth financial analysis of loan applications, including borrower credit, income verification, asset evaluation, and debt service coverage.Assess property values, market conditions, and potential risks using appraisals, construction budgets, rent rolls, and other supporting documentation.Structure loan terms and conditions based on risk assessment while aligning with company lending policies.Collaborate with loan processors, sales, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan approvals.Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines, industry regulations, and internal credit policies.Maintain accurate loan files, documentation, and credit memos to support decision-making and audits.Provide recommendations to senior leadership on loan approvals, declines, or modifications based on thorough risk municate underwriting decisions clearly and professionally to internal teams and external stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate underwriting, commercial lending, or hard money lending.Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment in real estate transactions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with loan origination software.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.Pay & Benefits:$70,000 - $80,000 base salary, with future potential for performance-based bonusesHealth, Dental, Vision, etc.Paid Holidays and Vacation401k with MatchThis role offers a unique opportunity to join a market leader in real estate financing, gain valuable industry training, and make a direct impact on deal success.
