Primary Purpose:Assist campuses with purchasing, budgetary and travel needs to ensure compliance with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) financial accounting and reporting system. EducationCertification:High School Diploma or GEDSpecial KnowledgeSkills:Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a multi-task environment.Ability to review and interpret budget requests and account codes to remain in compliance.Knowledge of computerized financial systems andor Skyward preferredAbility to interpret and implement policy and proceduresKnowledge of bookkeeping principles and practicesAbility to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and do word processingAbility to maintain accurate and auditable recordsAbility to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlinesExperience: 1-3 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred1-3 years in public education setting preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Assist campus principal with the purchase of goods and services in accordance with campus budgets and charter guidelines. Assist campus principal and campus admin with coordination of campus travel needs. Assist campus principal with maintaining accurate receipt and expenditure of student activity funds. Assist campus principal with field trips, fundraisers, and online payments. Coordinate transfer of funds between accounts with the Business Office as needed.Assist with creation and printing of campus budget reports for Principal as needed. Assist with campus budget pile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.Ensure prompt acknowledgement and response to campusprincipal requests. OtherMaintain confidentiality.Any and all duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
