This full-time position reports to the Director of Finance and requires working in the Arlington, VA office up to 4 days per week, with 1 day per week virtually.Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives and projectsPrepare and interpret financial models, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership through comprehensive variance analyses and trend reportingPartner with stakeholders to develop realistic forecasts and budgets aligned with organizational goalsTrack and report variances against approved budgets, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actionsContribute to strategic planning efforts by providing forward-looking financial projectionsOversee and coordinate the closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial resultsReview journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and complianceManage end-to-end APAR processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections to ensure timely revenue capture and cost managementMonitor aging reports and credit terms to mitigate risk and optimize cash flowEstablish and maintain relationships with key vendors and clients, ensuring efficient dispute resolution and compliance with payment termsMonitor daily cash balances, forecast liquidity needs, and propose strategies to optimize cash usageCoordinate usage of credit lines and other financing instruments to support operational and strategic objectivesEnsure compliance with covenants and manage banking relationships effectivelyConsolidate and review financial data to produce accurate, timely monthly reportsPresent insights on key trends, risks, and opportunities to the leadership teamStandardize reporting processes to improve efficiency and consistency across the organizationQualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline required5+ years of relevant experienceStrong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate financial insightsExpert-level financial modeling skillsAbility to interpret financial data, identify trends and make strategic recommendationsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other key financial analysis tools and expense management systemsStrong written and verbal communication for reporting to stakeholders and presenting insightsHigh integrity and commitment to ethical practices in financial managementFlexibility to navigate changes in market conditions or organizational strategyAbility to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
