MnDOT District 1 will be filling various positions throughout District 1. Locations and work areas may include, but are not limited to:Major Projects (Twin Ports Interchange) - Duluth: Under the guidance of the Twin Ports Interchange construction staff, assist with routine material testing, inspecting and project documentation.Traffic Engineering - Duluth: Assists with traffic counting throughout the District, setting portable counters and using road tubes to obtain traffic volume and vehicle classification information.Materials Lab - Duluth: Assists Lab personnel with preparation and testing of samples; assists the Soils and Materials Engineers with project scoping. Supports the Soils Drill Crew with field investigation.Surveys - Duluth & Virginia: Assists Survey crews with field work throughout the District.Field Construction - Virginia & Grand Rapids: Assists field inspectors in sampling and testing construction materials activities, checking measurements, dimensions and tolerances of construction roadway features, and observation and documentation of construction operations.Bridge Engineering - Duluth: Assists in the updating of the District's bridge inspection files and perform field work.Why MnDOT?We offer excellent employee benefits, such as low-cost health and dental insurance, and affordable dependent coverage.
