Our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility drives our operations and sets us apart in the industry.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join our team in Elizabeth, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing chemical processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, improving efficiency in our recycling operations, and providing plant management responsibilities. This role requires a strong background in chemical process engineering, process optimization, and safety standards in industrial settings, with additional oversight of operational workflows and team coordination.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for the processing of used motor oil and related industrial applications.Conduct research and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, including EPA and OSHA standards.Analyze process data, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend solutions.Collaborate with multi-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and quality control.Oversee testing and validation of new chemical processes and technologies.Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and safety protocols.Train and support plant personnel in chemical handling, process controls, and safety procedures.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost savings and process efficiencies.Assist in overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and operational efficiency as well as proper reporting to upper management.Support plant staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Monitor production schedules and assist in adjusting processes to meet demand and quality standards.Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Qualifications:Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment.Knowledge of chemical process design, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety protocols.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Experience with process simulation software is a plus.Knowledge of waste oil refining or petroleum processing is highly desirable.Prior experience with plant operations and management responsibilities is a plus.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for professional development and career growth
