Associate Fuel Systems EngineerLocation: Hybrid (onsite majority of the time)Team Overview:Team Size: 13 engineers (full-time and contract workers)Role Overview: The Associate Fuel Systems Engineer will work within a hybrid team environment, primarily onsite, to support the development and validation of fuel systems, with a focus on diesel engines and a growing interest in electrichybrid systems.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop and validate fuel system components, including injectors and pumps.Work with third-party suppliers to ensure specifications are met.Analyze data from test rigs using tools like MATLAB and Excel to assess performance.Participate in the development cycle, understanding the performance requirements of fuel system components.Qualifications:Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics (Fluids), or Thermodynamics.Technical Skills:Proficiency in data analytics tools (MATLAB, Excel).Basic design understanding, preferably with knowledge of CREO.Soft Skills:Strong professionalism and ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills; must be an extrovert who can fill gaps within the team.Willingness to admit when they don't know something and follow up with answers later.Training and Development:Access to specific training programs provided by Cummins, supplemented by internal training.Development of project management skills.Expectations:New hires are expected to be onsite more often than not.The team values good communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
