Nidec Mobility America Corporation(NMOA) is looking for an energetic and focused Electronics Technician. NMOA (St. Charles, IL), headquarters our family of Companies with facilities in the USA, Canada, Germany and Mexico (with our Sales Team based in Detroit Metro).As a world leader in sensing and control technology, we control the most discrete functions within an automobile - from seat switches, power window switches, and instrument panel controls, towards complex user interfaces. NMOA is directly involved with automotive OEM's and holds a leadership position within Nidec for product development with global vehicle makers.ObjectiveThe Electronics Technician I is responsible for testing automotive components, developing component test systems, and assisting in various electronic design and development activities. These functions are carried out with excellence and with thoroughness. This position demands attention to detail, accuracy, and technical competence. It also requires some knowledge of automotive electronics and automotive specifications as well as knowledge of test procedures required for automotive parts. Lastly, it requires an efficient work ethic while maintaining a high level of overall quality.Essential ResponsibilitiesExamples of specific responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:Assists in creating new electronic product designs based on customer requests or internal development plansAssists with electronic part procurementBuilds prototypes and test fixtures, modifies circuit boards, and assists in testingAssists in the development of electronic component test plansAssists in the design and development of test systemsPerforms testing according to test plans or work instructionsSupports bench level investigationsTests final designs at different temperaturesConducts experiments, manages and generates accurate records andor reports of testing completedPerforms other job related and support activity duties as requiredExperience: 1+ year's Electronics Technician -or- Associate's Degree (Electronics)Certifications: IPC J-STD-001, IPC- 7711, IPC- 7721 a plusKnowledgeSkillsAbilitiesKnowledgeperformance of all laboratory technician skills and equipmentExcellent understanding of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel preferredSoldering of electronic components and PCB level repairAbility to read and interpret schematic drawingsAdvanced knowledge of SMT rework and repairGood organizational skills and interpersonal skillsKeywords: Electronics, technician, test, engineering, laboratory, prototype, automotive, SMT, Soldering, Prototype, Schematic, IPCIf your qualifications and aspirations match those detailed for this Electronics Technician career opportunity - I would appreciate hearing from you!
