In addition, you will develop, coordinate, and implement various activities pertaining to Penn Color's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with guidelines, customer requirements, and applicable standards.Education:Bachelor's degree in a science or related field preferredKnowledgeSkillsExperience:Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environmentMust have basic proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; Minitab preferredStrong problem solving and organizational skillsDetail-oriented, self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to work on and coordinate multiple projectsassignments.Demonstrated ability to organize and manage small to medium-sized projects and effectively participate in cross-functional teams.Hands-on experience with test equipment including polymer processing and the ability to understand the working mechanisms and methodologiesProven ability to follow proceduresColor experience is preferredAptitude as self-starterExcellent interpersonal and team skillsWhat YOU Can Do For UsOwnership of First Plant Runs with the goal of improving communication, identifying issues prior to product run, and improving the success rate of each FPR: Create each product form for each new FPRMeet with each department as neededAssist production during the production of the FPRAssist the QC technicians with any addsReport back to the group with any noted concerns and assist with any investigations to help improve future runs Identify extended QC times and problem products:Pounds (not FG)Investigate and suggest improvement optionsImprove overall adds rate and success of the productAssist QC Technicians with correctionsAdditional Main Responsibilities:Manage projects, perform quality engineering tasks and conduct audits with limited directionPerform KPI and statistical data analysis utilizing statistical software and generate conclusionsCompile data requested for Management ReviewCoordinate lab projects to improve the overall efficiencyAssist in training new technicians and reviewing new procedures with the entire QC teamPerform and document Nonconformance's, Deviations, and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as applicableAct as lead on assigned CAPA requests to investigate, develop, drive and document required actions and closure within prescribed timelinesPerform Receiving, First Article and In-process inspectionsAssist with customer complaint investigations, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions as requested; work with customers to provide required technical support and information regarding the investigationAuthor documents: ISO and other Procedures, Specifications, Work Instructions, Equipment Qualification, Validation Protocol Reports, Receiving Inspection, and Inspection Test Method etc. as requiredAssist with completion of equipment qualification, process validation protocols and reportsParticipate in Lean Six Sigma projectsParticipate in customer meetings and assist Program Management in the transition of new Customer designed products into production when requestedReviewApprove records pertaining to the controlled production environmentReview calibration certificates as requestedSupport ISO Inspections, Customer and Third-party Audits as requiredMay perform internal quality auditsFollow established safety requirements and adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Management SystemOther duties as assignedWhat WE can do for YOUPenn Color offers many tangible and intangible benefits to our full time employees:Tangible benefits include:Highly competitive compensationA choice between 3 outstanding medical plans (will differ outside the U.S.)401K with a strong company match (will differ outside the U.S.)PTO to balance your lifeAdditional company perks And More!Our intangible benefits really set us apart:Unmatched company stabilityLong-term career opportunityTrue open door, friendly environmentAbility to "own" your roleCompany events that bring us all togetherIf you desire a long-term career, want to work alongside an exceptional group of people, and wish to use your talents to shape a world-class company, then we are your employer of choice!
