You'll contribute to critical decisions about product, design, and backend integration. Currently we are focused primarily on Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like VS-Code and the JetBrains family of products.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with design staff, AI researchers, and members of the systems team to design, build, and iterate on Augment's AI for Code ClientDesign and build user interfaces for Augment, beginning with IDE extensions and pluginsCollaborate with Augment's systems engineering team to define and build the frontend-backend integrationCollaborate with a team of AI Researchers and Systems Engineers to craft the technical direction of the Augment system, including choosing preferred approaches for creating Augment's initial AI models and determining the next programming assistance tasks to be solved by Augment's systemQualificationsMinimum of 5 years experience doing software developmentExperienced with front end development: Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Kotlin and Java or similarShipped UIUX workflows, preferably for devtoolsDeep understanding of the developer experience and ability to work with key stakeholders including users, designers, AI researchers, and systems engineersEmployee BenefitsFlexible work hoursCompetitive salary & Equity.
