Software Engineer in Test

DescriptionFidelity Investments has a phenomenal opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong software development talent. This individual will be responsible for crafting and developing test automation and inhouse software utilities as part of the Quality Engineering organization within Fidelity's Workplace Investing division. This role is based in our Westlake, TX location.The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required5+ years of test automation development using Java or similar language.Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stackProven Expertise on standard test automation frameworks - Cucumber, Java, Rest services.Expertise on Data validation and processes - SQL, DB2, Oracle.Experience working in AgileScrum environment, using tools like JIRA, XRAY. Solid familiarity with AgileScrum processes.DevOps, CICD processes - Maven, GitGitHub, Jenkins, Sonar.Knowledge on SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes.Cobalt language understandingVSAM filesBatch processIOM (InputOutput Modules)Experience in Financial Services domain, preferably mutual funds, stocks, managed accounts.Experience working upon virtual databases like Delphix, or data mockup tools like Wire Mock.Worked on Cloud based services - Azure, AWS.Practical experience working with both functional and regression testing including test automation within an agile environmentAbility to quickly learn, adapt and thrive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environmentInterpret business requirements and crystallize stories and acceptance criteria for implementationIdentify risks and develop contingency plans in anticipation of test automation issuesHave the proven ability to work independently as part of an Agile Sprint, Kanban teamsquadsProven understanding of the software development process including planning, analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, and problem resolutionUse and improve upon an existing automation frameworkThe TeamAs part of the Workplace Investing Quality Engineering team has an opening for Senior Software Engineer in Test. You will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly talented individuals. You will have a pivotal role on project delivery teams - developing and testing the critical application that diligently test our products and instill confidence in capabilities. You will be joining a larger Quality Engineering team, using innovative testing techniques to test applications.
