Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the design and development of X-ray cabinets and imaging systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams"”mechanical, electrical, and software engineers"”to ensure cost-effective, safe, and reliable solutions. This role entails both hands-on design work and documentation responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for a motivated engineer eager to contribute to all phases of product development.Responsibilities and Duties: • Participate in full product development cycles: concept, design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.• Assist in creating and updating mechanical design documents (drawings and specifications).• Generate part requirements and engineering specifications.• Develop refined drawings and assemblies using proper dimensioning and tolerancing standards (GD&T).• Produce technical reports, test results, and documentation in compliance with company SOPs.• Create process flow diagrams, work instructions, and test procedures for manufacturing.• Support the design of parts for plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and CNC processes.• Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and facilitate updates to support documentation.• Interface with Production, Service, and Quality teams to address and resolve findings in a timely manner.• Perform 3D virtual part engineering with respect to manufacturability, assembly, and disassembly (service). • Perform theoretical mechanical analysis, review samples, and provide feedback.• Manage prototypes builds; review, test, and draw conclusions from the prototypes to improve design.• Work with internal and external teams to meet project goals. Qualifications & Skills:Education:· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's highly preferred. Experience:3-5 years of mechanical design and product development experienceExperience with medical devices or in a regulated industry is a plus. Experience with X-ray and imaging systems is ideal.Technical Proficiency:High proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, drawings, and assemblies.Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM. Strong understanding of tolerancing, GD&T, sheet metal fabrication, thermalstructural analysis, and plastic injection molding.Familiarity with ISO13485 requirements and IEC standards (61010, 60601).Experience with VAVE, PPAP, DFMEA and PFMEA munication & Collaboration:Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience in drafting technical reports and presenting test results.Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environment.Problem-Solving & Initiative:Demonstrated aptitude for identifying technical challenges and implementing cost-effective engineering solutions.Enthusiasm for continuous learning and process improvement.Work EnvironmentWork is primarily performed on site, in an office and light manufacturing environment.Occasional travel required.Physical DemandsPhysical demands are primarily sedentary with frequent sitting, standing and short durations of walking throughout the location(s) and lifting up to 30 lbs.
