Transport Engineer II - Annapolis Junction, MD ( On-site 2x per week, no exceptions)Requirements:Transport Background: Minimum macro-level experience required. Must be experienced in IP addressing, building & designing paths, and programming.Experience Level: Equivalent to Level III, requiring minimal training.Develop monthly interconnect implementation plans for various network builds (e.g., macro, in-building, small cell, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, MEC)Create and issue CIQs (IPPort assignments) for new cells, trunks, and circuit ordersOrder circuits from local exchange carriers (dark fiber, EOS, EBH, TLS)Document transport circuits using XNGGraniteFUZE CND databasesTrack order status and escalate issues as necessaryPlan and design transport solutions for 5G network rolloutsManage vendors to meet project milestones and turn-up datesCollaborate across engineering teams to develop optimal transport solutionsDevelop and maintain trackers in FUZE to ensure data integrity and workflow efficiencyParticipate in project update meetings and provide status reportsCandidate must have prior experience in network planning and design.Fiber Network Design: Experience planning fiber networks for multi-site expansion (3-6 months planning horizon).Technical Aptitude: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to quickly learn and apply wireless engineering concepts.Team Player: Collaborative, inquisitive, and solution oriented.Must Have Skills:Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience with XNGGranite circuit databasesKnowledge of ASR ordering systems and interconnect circuit types (TLS, EMUX, Dark Fiber, EOS)Understanding of 4G5G wireless services and architectures (e.g., 3GPP option 3X)Familiarity with centralized RAN and wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technologyKnowledge of IPv4IPv6 addressingExperience with microwave technology for backhaulProject management experienceDesired Skills:Experience with engineering principles and telecommunication industry practicesExcellent organizational and planning skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs)Experience managing databases, project trackers, and workflow logicStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environmentWhat you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsShortLong Term Disability and Critical CareIllness ProtectionLife Insurance and Retirement PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with our game changing clients and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
