CereCore is seeking an Epic Clinical Business Intelligence Developer to join our team for a customer in Virginia.Purpose & Scope:Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Integration, the Epic Clinical Business Intelligence Developer (BID) serves as a reporting resource for the Epic Cogito application and is responsible for building and managing clinical reporting across the enterprise. This individual analyzes, provide specifications for, and writes reports for assigned applications to support the needs of the Epic project team, clinical leadership, and other end users stakeholders. In the process, the BID will contribute to the uncovering of insights that drive improved patient care, quality and efficiency of operations, a data driven strategy, and optimal decision making for clinical leaders across the organization. The BID has the responsibility of reporting system support and maintenance, analysis, design, and change control of all components used to build and manage assigned reports, metrics, queries, extracts, dashboards, and other reporting tools. The BID will work closely with all levels of staff, leadership, and other clinical and operational end users to translate business needs into technical reporting requirements. The BID is responsible for validating existing foundation system reports and identifying and producing custom reporting content, optimization, and performance enhancement opportunities. To succeed in this role, the individual must be innately curious, deeply analytical, highly driven, and a strong communicator.Required Experience:Bachelor's Degree or two or more years of applicable experienceEpic Reporting Certifications: Cogito, Clarity or Caboodle Data ModelFour or more years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in a professional healthcarehospital setting, working with business users in developing analytical solutions to meet clinical and operational business needsThree years or more demonstrated experience with relational database concepts, querying andor analyzing clinical data, using SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting. design, build, test, validation, and maintenanceTraining and some expertise with some of the following: OLAP, Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL, PLSQL, XML, HTML, other query tools.Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, andor AccessPreferred Experience:One or more years of experience designing, building, testing, and supporting Epic reports for the clinical applications end usersCogito and Cogito Tools AdministrationCertification in an Epic clinical application module (i.e. Inpatient ClinDoc Orders, ASAP, Ambulatory Healthy Planet, Willow, Stork, Bugsy, Cadence, HIM), preferred.Experience with building reports for various Epic modules, especially Inpatient ClinDoc Orders, ASAP, Ambulatory Healthy Planet, Willow, Stork, Beaker, Bugsy, Cadence, HIMMeaningful Use, Core Measures, eCQMs, Joint Commission, registries, and other quality measures and regulatory reporting a plusExperience with data analysis and visualization tools such as: Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects QlikView, Microsoft Power BI, etc.Previous clinical healthcare experience, ideally with a health system, highly desirableExperience using the Microsoft stack (SSRS, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS)Experience using a software package for statistical analysis (R, Python, SAS etc)
