Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paraplanner to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will assist the lead advisor in providing exceptional service to clients by onboarding new clients, gathering data, conducting research and preparing financial plans within our financial planning software. Responsible for organizing and maintaining all financial documents. This role is crucial in supporting the overall efficiency of our advisory services and enhancing client satisfaction.Principal Responsibilities· Review statements provided by clients· Input updated values and client information into appropriate planning software· Conduct monthlyquarterlyad hoc client reporting· Interview clients about their attitudes, risk tolerance and goals· Create personal financial statements· Organize data· Identify problem areas and summarize for the lead advisor· Conduct research· Read trade journals, books, and other publications· Calculate projections· Maintain mutual fund, variable annuity, and stock recommended lists· Maintain up-to-date information on model portfolio performance (e.g., through Morningstar®)-Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and regular updates on financial progress.-Utilize financial software to track and analyze client data, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.Service clients· Maintain client cost basis information· Rebalance client portfolios based on advisor's criteria and using appropriate tools (e.g., Model Management)· Respond to client questions and concerns· Create and distribute newsletters· Schedule and plan client meetings using CRM systemRequired knowledgeskillscompetencies· BA or BS in business; completion of registered paraplanner (RP) program, a plus· Prior enrollment or willingness to enroll in CFP® certification program· FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations· 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry; experience working with NFS processes and forms a plus· Prior experience with a financial planning software such as Emoney· Good understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology· Knowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity products· Strong at customer service and working independently· Knowledge of third-party asset management systems, including how they work, their benefits, and their drawbacks· Exposure to estate planning issues· Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Morningstar® Advisor WorkstationSM, Argus, Value Line, Broadridge Forefield Advisor, CRM, and Wealthscapeâ„
