Location: Veetee USA - Selma, North CarolinaJob Purpose: The Commercial Analyst will support the continued growth of Veetee by partnering with cross functional team members to ensure we have an aligned approach to costing strategies in addition to providing ad-hoc financial analysis to key stakeholders to support commercial decisions. Responsibilities:Reporting to the Head of Finance and VP Sales and Operations, ensure the US operation runs smoothly and efficiently in line with established procedure and Group plete monthly profit predictions at customer & SKU level & lead corrective action initiation. Act as a central resource for Veetee group to monitor prices for proactive pricing discussions.Create and monitor continuous profit improvement plans for the group.Represent the finance team in external commercial discussions in conjunction with the sales team.Support the commercial team at time of contract renewals for new business, assessing long term profitability.Provide costings for new business product development. Circulate monthly margin analysis reports.Liaise with the management team at a senior level, including during monthly Steering Group meetings.Ensure a high level of accuracy due to complexity and impact of work.Any other reasonable duties associated with the role or projects assigned to meet the overall objectives of the role.Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Strong previous experience and a proven track record of success in a role within the US market, preferably in a similar industry.A degree or equivalent within a related discipline.Strong commercial skills with excellent business awareness.Excellent computing skills - Excel and other MS products and working knowledge of accounting packages (Sage) and understanding of ERP systems.Highly analytical, ability to carry out root cause analysis and able to develop and interpret data and information for reporting.Good communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation and externally.Can work on own initiative and as part of a team.Good organisational and project management skills.Hours to do the role, which will vary according to business priorities.Pragmatic and proactive, taking the initiative and working autonomously across a broad remit.Enthusiastic and hardworking with an entrepreneurial mindsetHaving a will to learn and go the extra mile to achieve strict time targets.The ability to partner with a variety of different stakeholders and adapt communication styles as required. Considerable drive and the desire to achieve.
