Together, we can transform lives one wish at a time.POSITION: Regional Director (Southern Wyoming)JOB SUMMARYThe Regional Director will be headquartered in Cheyenne and will be responsible for overseeing an eight-county region, focusing on the areas of fundraising, marketingmedia, public relations, medical outreach, community awareness and volunteer engagement. The Regional Director will work closely with the chapter office to develop and achieve collective goals. This position requires excellent customer service, project management and communications skills to ensure we reach every eligible child. The Regional Director works to increase the organization's visibility and funding to achieve continued mission growth, by providing development support and tools in an efficient, effective, and sustainable manner. Beyond coordinating fundraising events, the Regional Director is also in charge of stewarding and cultivating current donor base, developing a diversified funding portfolio, and serving as a spokesperson for the organization. Reporting to the chapter CEO, the Regional Director performs the following functions, in brief:RESPONSIBILITIES· In collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Wyoming team, help create and maintain an organization-wide comprehensive strategic development plan· Serve as lead development person in the region. Work to develop effective individual and corporate relationships by identifying opportunities, researching prospects and building and maintaining relationships with local donors· Build appropriate relationships with Board members, volunteers, donors, wish families and the public to accomplish mission delivery and development goals· Represent Make-A-Wish Wyoming at community events, speaking engagements, and media opportunities as appropriate. Help develop communication effortsbrand awareness within the region· Along with the chapter office, develop and implement a medical outreach plan for the region· Accountable for the successful implementation and completion of special events in the region· Develop and grow various funding platforms in the region including, but not limited to peer to peer, Kids for Wish Kids®, annual appeals, internal and external events, corporate, grants, planned giving and major gifts initiatives· Optimize the marketing and promotion of signature and other fundraising events (e.g. Serving Up Wishes, World Wish Day, and other external events)· Manage all external events in the region including processing fundraising agreements, providing necessary tools and resources, and stewarding relationships· Develop and execute a donor stewardship plan, steward and cultivate existing and potential donors, engage with donors and supporters in a meaningful way · Perform other duties as required or assignedREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES· Mission-focused with a passion to make a difference· Team player who is positive, friendly, proactive and supportive· Sincere commitment to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, wish children and their families, vendors and other supporters· Humor, energy, "can do" attitude, flexibility, high attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality · Candidate must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented professional with exceptional strategic thinking as well as budget management· Knowledge of the region including extensive network in the Cheyenne area· Ability to manage a variety of duties and effectively prioritize tasks · Willingness to work evening and weekend hours as necessary· Eagerness to continually improve · Physical requirement: Must be able to liftcarry and handle a minimum of 25 pounds· Experience designing and executing creative and strategic development programs and events· Exceptional written, verbal and public speaking communication skills, ability to connect with an audience· Excellent organizational, time and project management skills· Customer-service oriented· High energy, enthusiastic and competent working with a diverse group of staff, wish families, volunteers, board members and donors· Ability to travel across the eight-county region (Laramie, Albany, Carbon, Sweetwater, Uinta, Lincoln, Platte, and Goshen), as well as other parts of the state as needed, attend national conferences and trainings (travel estimated to be 20-30%)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS· BABS or equivalent combination of education and experience· 3 years of demonstrated success in fundraising, sales, marketing, non-profit experience or a combination of those areas PREFERRED SKILLS & EDUCATION· 3+ years of development and fundraising experience in a non-profit setting· Proven track record of building and sustaining donor relationships· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce preferred; capable of learning new programs JOB LOCATIONCheyenne, WY POSITION TYPEFull-timeSalary, DOEBenefits include vacation, health insurance, dental insurance and SIMPLE IRA matchPlease submit your cover letter and resume to:Make-A-Wish® Wyoming236 W 1st StreetCasper, WY 82601 Or e-mail to Make-A-Wish Wyoming is an equal opportunity employer.
