Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Assistant Facilities Manager in Frederick MD (Ft Detrick area.) They are a leading solutions provider that specializes in energy efficiency and resiliency, offering a full range of sustainable infrastructure solutions to optimize the way energy is used in various types of buildings and commercial facilities.* This client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of U.S. Military Leadership experience.U.S. Navy nuke officersNCOs are highly preferable, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!Compensation: $120,000-130,000 + 10% target incentiveWhat You Will Do:Provide technical direction and assist in the management of the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Energy Production Facility (EPF). Will work with the Facility Manager to deliver results related to EHS, financial performance, plant reliability and efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee training and development. Will be on-call 247 to assist in the supervision and handling of trouble-calls during off-hours; acts as the Incident Commander for the EPF in the absence of the Facility Manager.Develop, coordinate and supervise overall plant maintenance plan, procedures, & provides technical direction on maintenance, maintenance scheduling, plant & equipment modifications, troubleshooting & data analysis on operational & functional problemsMaintain and oversee all predictive programs, including vibration, oil, and alignmentProvide technical evaluation & detailed economic analysis of; a) Expense projects & subsequent recommendations; b) Critical Power & Diesel Uninterruptible Power Systems (life, repairs, & economics); c) Forecasting future production & maintenance costs (Operating Plan Development)Supervise and direct daily Preventive Maintenance and Service activities of employees performing O&M Manage multiple contractors to ensure that the plant is properly maintained, maintaining communications between contractors and management, commissioning of plant, and enforcing all applicable safety precautions and programsLead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for all major plant and equipment issuesAnalyze boilers, chillers, and plant component systems for operational production, modifications, upgrades, performance and process improvementsEducation and Work Experience4+ years US Military Leadership experience5+ years experience in operations, maintenance and repair of power generation, central steam and chiller plants and auxiliary equipment (boiler, steam, chilled water experience.)Demonstrated knowledge of energy facility operations and maintenance as well as management methods necessary to control and improve facility performance.
