Manufacturing Engineering Manager Direct Hire Crystal Lake, IL$120K - 140K yrlyPosition Summary The Manufacturing Engineering Manager guides the manufacturing engineering team to develop and improve the manufacturing processes and efficiencies for the business operations. They will lead the optimization of current manufacturing processes, new process innovation and new product introduction to the operation.Key Responsibilities:Optimize labor rates, tooling, and production workflows.Build and assess routers, BOMs, and manufacturing sequences.Lead process improvements, time studies, and quality support.Oversee CAPEX budgets and implement automation strategies.Support new product transitions and production scalability.Conduct time studies, analyze variances, and enhance processes for better accuracy and efficiency.Work with operations, supply chain, and NPD to evaluate in-house and supplier capabilities.Manage the handoff of new products into production, ensuring smooth integration and efficiency.Qualifications: BS Degree in ManufacturingIndustrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.Minimum 10 + years' experience in a discrete manufacturing process environment.Experience in assembly, CNC machining, sawing, testing, heat treating, annealing and bending of various metal shapes, welding, fabrication and materials (HRS, CRS, SS, aluminum, brass).Lean Manufacturing experience. Solid root cause analysis and critical thinking.AutoCADDraftSight and SolidWorks experience and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Plant layout and product flow understanding.CertificationsLSS Green Belt a plus
