You'll lead efforts in monitoring water meter data, detecting and preventing leaks, and enhancing safety protocols to protect employees and stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to operational efficiency, compliance, and resource conservation.Responsibilities include:Overseeing and enhancing the Non-Revenue Water Program to minimize water lossLeading the Safety Program, ensuring all policies align with industry best practicesManaging and maintaining leak detection equipment, including research and procurementDeveloping and executing the annual and long-term (10-year) budget for both water loss prevention and safety initiativesCompleting the annual water allocation reportAssisting as needed with the Distribution and Metershop Superintendents' responsibilitiesParticipating in on-call duties (weekdays and weekends) to support the Oakmont Water Authority's facilitiesRequirements and Qualifications:Class "A" Type 1 Pennsylvania Water Works Operator Certificate (or ability to obtain within four years)Strong understanding of distribution facilities, metering technologies, and plant operationsExperience in safety programs and protocols, with relevant certifications preferredExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to review and enhance operating procedures for improved efficiencyComfortable working in various environments, including outdoor conditions and underground facilitiesWillingness to attend training, seminars, and classes to stay updated on industry advancementsAbout the Hiring Company:Our client, Oakmont Water Authority, is a trusted provider of clean and sustainable water services, dedicated to ensuring operational excellence and public safety.
