As the Junior Advisor, you will initially be responsible for supporting our advisory team in several key areas, including data gathering and analysis, development of financial planning recommendations, implementation, and complex case research and resolution. Additionally, there will be duties around reporting, meeting preparation, and anything else that may help to move the business forward. The goal is to move you into client-facing opportunities as quickly as you are showcasing your knowledge and comfort. You will learn from a senior advisor how to care for existing clients. The long-term goal is you will want to contribute to firm growth through business development efforts, and we will teach you how to be successful in that as addition to the technical mastery, you will anticipate needs, resolve problems, and follow through on agreed upon deliverables. You will follow the highest standard of business and professional ethics, as well as legal and regulatory requirements. You are an excellent communicator that can grasp others' needs and develop remarkable ways to fulfill them. You can move through your work efficiently while recognizing that the detailed work in our business is critical. You have enough experience andor common sense to know that the first answer isn't always the right one and you are incredibly resourceful and thoughtful in all your interactions. You also have a strong desire to learn how to be a successful advisor and fiduciary, and you also have the awareness and patience to understand this happens over time. You aspire to be a successful business developer in the future and look forward to contributing to growth of a firm.Responsibilities:Support advisory team with preparation of well-polished documentation and presentation materials for meetingsAttend and participate in meetings with prospects and existing clients for the purpose of notetaking; with the goal of becoming a contributor in the futureRecord meeting notes on topics covered, changes in client's needs, and action itemsSummarize meeting and schedule action items in contact management softwareComplete all action items utilizing firm processes and proceduresCoordinate financial plan development, including initial financial plan data entry, development and working with advisory team to develop recommendations; continuous monitoring of plan and any necessary changesCreate quarterly andor annual client summaries of net worth, estate distribution, insurance, income tax, cash flow projections, and investmentsResearch complex situations, set client expectations, and define the actions necessary to resolve inquiries in a timely mannerInvestment product research and analysis; evaluate potential investments solutions, presenting findings to advisory teamProactively monitor custodian and internal alerts on a daily basis for changeContinuously monitor client data across various platforms for accuracy and continuityOnce trained and comfortable, there will be responsibility for managing existing client relationshipsEventually, responsibilities around new business will be building your personal network to generate opportunities through referrals from clients and centers of influenceQualifications:Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, financial planning, or a related field3+ years of progressive experience in the wealth management industry, supporting one or more financial advisors requiredSeries 65 license andor CFP designation highly preferredProgress on CFP® coursework or currently studying for Series 65 may be considered with an exam dateFamiliarity with financial planning software is required, MoneyGuidePro experience is highly preferredIntermediate-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is requiredKnowledge of industry-specific CRM software is requiredThe ability to be a self-starter, critical thinker, problem-solver, and goal-oriented team playerExcellent communication (written and verbal), relationship building, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to multi-task, delegate, and manage a busy workload
