As an experienced Structural Engineer, the person in this position will be expected to coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors; manage the budget for each project; seek opportunities for new clientele; provide leadership within each project as well as the firm; mentor others; be part of our Quality AssuranceQuality Control processes; and more.Responsibilities: Structural CalculationsOverall Drawing Production including Quality ControlShop Drawing ReviewCoordination with Contractors & Design TeamsSite Visits & InspectionsOverseeing a Project from Conception to Completion with Project ManagerPrincipal OversightSkillsPosition Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringE.I.T. Certification Required Working Toward Obtaining P.E. License2 to 4 Years of Structural Engineering ExperienceTechnical Knowledge of: International Building Code, Relevant Design Standards & Construction Means and MethodsEffective Communication with clients, consultants, contractors, principals, and team membersOne Year from Today: You have impressed your colleagues as well as our clients with your ability to manage projects with precision and efficiency.You identify and evaluate scope changes and escalate to a principal as needed.You are an effective team member who is well liked by your co-workers and clients.You take ownership of projects, answer questions from the contractor and clients, and use your problem-solving skills to keep the project within scope, on schedule, and within budget.You are respected for your growing knowledge of how things are built, and deliver documents that are complete, comprehensive, and coordinated with all other construction disciplines.
