Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Document Control Specialist based in our Port Lavaca Texas office. The Document Control Specialist will be assigned onsite at client location in Victoria, Texas. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain the project team SharePoint and file structure.Own the electronic document control system, work processes, and specific project plans to support consistency of facility engineering documentation as well as physical assets (i.e. IT equipment), equipment records and project documentationUnderstand, document, and communicate Document Control processes and procedures to site-based teams as well as remote project management and engineering supportCollaborate with project engineering team to support document updates and modification, to include redlining and revision controlClose out project files and coordinate document transfer to facility drawing depository.Support Project Managers with distribution of RFQs, quotes and procurement documentsEffectively manage, track, and transmit to 3rd parties a variety of 5ile types (.pdf, .cad, .tif, etc) while maintaining version control.Protect site IP with strict adherence to IP Best Practices while gaining appropriate approvals prior to transmitting.Tracks supplies needed for the project group and reproduction area. Qualifications and Requirements:3+ years of technical experience in an engineering, design, or construction capacity supporting an industrial environment.Demonstrated ability to leverage an Electronic Document Management System for document control activities.Knowledge of utilizing Bluebeam drawing review process.Knowledge of technical documents (engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, etc) Knowledge of construction documents and processes.Experience using DrawingDocument Redline management tools and processes. (ie AutoCAD, Bluebeam)Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining pensation & BenefitsTaurus offers a competitive compensation program that considers the applicant's experience and capabilities, including access to medical benefits, vacation and 401k.
