We are a family owned and operated manufacturing and general contracting company in Grand Junction, CO. We are looking for an experienced construction project manager to oversee several types of construction projects. Position includes leading the project from initiation to close, working with in-house crews, subcontractors, vendors, and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits, and project management methodology. Working well with others, being highly organized and detail-oriented, meeting deadlines, and striving to stay within budget is a must. ResponsibilitiesDefine the project scopeCreate a construction estimate based on material takeoff (MTO)Create and manage a construction project budgetCreating a construction project management planNegotiate with subcontractors to obtain profitable construction contractsDevelop a construction schedule with project deliverables and milestonesKeep inventory of tools, equipment, and machineryManage resources such as construction materials, construction workers, and equipmentAllocate and manage resource logisticsCreate status reportsOversee the performance of construction teamObtain building permits, licenses, and meet code regulationsMaintain health and safety standardsSkills & QualificationsStrong leadership and team management skillsProblem-solving and conflict-resolution skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProject management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management, and project schedulingEducation & TrainingBachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or related fieldStrong knowledge of construction management best practicesFluency in software programs related to construction management, including project management softwareCurrent with rules and regulations related to construction Work ExperienceFive years of project management experience in the construction industry or construction specialties such as plumbing, carpentry, or masonryYears of construction management experience managing budgets and schedulesPrior experience managing a construction siteExperience leading a construction crewProven risk management experience in construction projects
