This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, technically sound solutions across the full product lifecycle, from new product development to sustaining. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-motivated individual with strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, capable of resolving production and aftermarket issues in a fast-paced environment. Direct customer interaction may be required to gather requirements and address problems effectively.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:Participate in and lead cross functional teams to create, release and support state of the art productsManage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniquesOversee and participate in product validation and qualification testingManage the design of electromechanical systems to meet customer requirementsPartner with customers and vendors to resolve technical issuesAnalyze, optimize, build, test and refine new product and sustaining solutions to meet functional, cost, reliability, and manufacturability goalsApply your expertise in prototyping, manufacturing processes, materials, post-processes, coatings & finishesCreate and modify 3D models, component drawings and assembly drawings using PTC CREO and WindchillConduct failure analysis to determine root cause and correct issuesManage documentation and maintain configuration control and export compliance in a PLM systemProvide technical guidance and mentorship for other engineersFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degreeMinimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience with electronics packagingExperience or interest in Optical Engineering and Lighting preferredExperience with 3D CAD modeling software, PTC WF4 or CREO is preferredExperience within a manufacturing environment, dealing with aerospace or in a highly regulated industry desiredExperience with DO160 or similar preferredExcellent communication and documentation skillsITAR - Permanent resident of the United States ("U.S. person" as defined by ITAR)Background and drug screen - pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen.Work EnvironmentStandard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
