KWC Engineers seeks an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the team. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and overseeing electrical systems for land development projects, including site lighting, power distribution, facilities such as sewer lift stations and water booster stations, and utility coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience working with civil engineering teams to integrate electrical infrastructure into site development plans.Primary Responsibilities:Design electrical systems for land development projects, including preparation of electrical design plans, specifications, and cost estimates in compliance with NEC, NESC, and localnational codes.Work closely with civil engineers and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Coordinate with public agencies and utility providers, ie. SCE and SDG&E. Conduct site-specific project assessments, electrical load calculations, feasibility studies, and power system analysis using industry standard design software.Develop design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics, block diagrams, one-line diagrams, and electrical system calculations.Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering services in the local market.Provide technical guidance during the design, permitting, construction, and inspection phases. Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration efforts.Assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand KWC Engineers' electrical engineering practice. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, engaging across KWC Engineers' offices for project success.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering4+ years' experience in an Electrical Engineering roleProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License preferredProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or other electrical design softwareExperience in power system analysis using industry standard design software Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI standards, and local utility requirementsExperience coordinating and obtaining plan approvals with public agencies and utility providers ie.
