PURPOSE OF POSITION:Responsible for assisting in the creation of the annual budget as well as maintenance, training, and reporting from the budgeting system. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Gather, compile, organize and document relevant financial information and prepare detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management.Analyze, interpret, and report financial and statistical data to assist ManagersDirectorsSenior Management in the review and management of operations.Provide financial and operational support to all levels of management including department managers, service line directors, and senior management as directed.Collaborate with other team members in the administration of the budgeting system. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly system maintenance. Resolve errors, review system continuously to optimize performance and usability. Proactively ensure that all data reconciles with source financial systems.Train and support system users, configure new system users, conduct regular workshops and individual training sessions for users as requested, ensure new system features are properly communicated.Assist in the creation of the annual budget, maintains budget model in the budgeting system, ensure data integrity.Provide assistance with long-term strategic planning to improve operational municate frequently with supervisor and other staff concerning work priorities and progress of projects.Provide cross-training to other team members and assist each other with hospital responsibilities in the event of absences. Serve as a mentor to other team members.Keep informed on the latest developments in the healthcare field through study, reading, and attendance at appropriate seminars. Perform other work-related duties and assist with special projects as required or assigned.Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Healthcare's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.EDUCATIONEXPERIENCETRAINING:Minimum Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Health Administration; MBA or CPA preferredFive to seven years of related experience, preferably in an acute care hospitalhealthcare organization required Knowledge of reporting systems and database concepts; ability to learn and master new information systemsMS Excel and relational database experience requiredMicrosoft Reporting Services and other reporting platform experience preferredBasic analytical skills to comprehend and reconcile dataDemonstrated written and oral communication as well as interpersonal skills to conduct training classes and communicate with multiple levels of the organizationAbility to effectively prioritize multiple demandsAbility to quickly absorb new ideas and concepts Ability to present design concepts and system functions in a logical and concise mannerAbility to work as part of a project team
