NO DIRECT MESSAGES.RECRUITERS: DO NOT CONTACT.Position overview: This position is responsible for leading the shipping and receiving team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance and leading continuous improvement projects. Directs receipt of deliveries, outbound shipment and manages process and systems. Adheres to safety regulations, quality management systems and company policies. Responsibilities:Coordinates the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, supplies and equipment. Oversees all functions and operations of the Shipping and Receiving area. Delegates tasks when required.Develops improvement programs by identifying process improvements to streamline and LEAN out the shipping and receiving functions through integration of software systems and equipment. Manages the department procedures to ensure they are current and comply with department pares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against pickpacking lists, bills of lading, orders, or other records.Responsible for compliance with quality system procedures, GMP's and complies with global, federal, state and local material handling and shipping transportation requirements of raw materials and finished goods.Prepares items for shipment by approved carrier UPS, DHL, FedEx. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Monitors and evaluates service contractor performance and provides recommendations.Ensures products are picked, properly packed and shipped per the SOPManage the timely receipt of all products, materials, supplies and equipment. Packs and unpacks orders while maintaining department schedule.Keeps organized shipping and receiving records, maintains department performance measures and trains staff.Monitors workloads within the designated area, ensuring there's effective flow to meet department goals. Present monthly department results.Acts as a liaison with EH&S staff to ensure a safe working environment, as required.Other duties as requiredQualifications:Education: High school or equivalent with minimum 4 years' experience in a ShippingReceiving environment or equivalent work experience.Required Experience:Current DOT IATA training certificationCurrent Hazardous Materials training certificationAbility to invest time, as required, expediting or completing assignments which may necessitate working evening and or weekend hours as necessary to meet business demandsHigh level computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to learn new software, such as enterprise business softwareStrong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with writing well-formulated emails and notifications. Ability to effectively communicate with employees, contractors and vendors. Experience with procedure writing.Excellent interpersonal skills with experience dealing with a diverse workforceStrong ability to organize assigned tasks in a high paced environment and concurrently monitor tasks assignments with others that may impact timely completion. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.Familiarity with FDA GMP environments and associated compliance regulationsAbility to plan, organize, prioritize and carry out work duties with minimum supervision.Valid driver's license
