As a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department, the FP&A Analyst will work with Wakefern management and Members to make strategic recommendations based on financial analysis. This associate will perform financial forecasting, scenario planning, budgeting, and sensitivity analysis related to Wakefern's retail banners. This associate will analyze P&Ls, cash flows, and balance sheets of current Wakefern stores, acquisitions, and new Members.The FP&A analyst will interpret, communicate, and measure the financial aspects of the Wakefern Strategic Plan and each of Wakefern's programs. The FP&A Analyst will be required to be an outstanding communicator, interfacing with Wakefern leadership, various divisions, and Members. The FP&A Analyst will work directly with the Site Development Committee as well as the Wakefern Finance Committee.Essential Job Functions:Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Analyzing Retail P&Ls, cash flows, balance sheets, and other operating metrics for Wakefern's current and prospective pleting research projects that are financial in municating results by creating decks and presenting information to key stakeholdersCreating quarterly budgets for retail locationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience working with financial statements, gross profit analysis, and budgetingExpertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and CognosExceptional verbal and written communications skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsOutstanding organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to build relationships across divisions and navigate Wakefern to find answers to important questions.Additional experience considered a plusMBA or Master's Degree in relevant fieldKnowledge of TM1 Analytics or Cognos platformsExperience with FP&A toolsKnowledge of retail operations, real estate, pricing, merchandising, and Wakefern's competitorsExperience with acquisitions, divestitures, and financial restructuringWorking Conditions & Physical Demands Availability to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet business demandsAbility to monitor computer screens for long periods of timeAbility to work a hybrid schedule as established by the division (4 days on-site, 1 day remote) Competencies Communicate EffectivelyBuild RelationshipsStay CompetitiveEmbrace ChangeDevelop YouDrive For Results
