The Lead Field Engineer is responsible for large-scale infrastructure work for complex construction projects. The role manages the entire project lifecycle from engineering and designing to procurement of materials and through commissioning project handover. The Lead Field Engineers is expected to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule to effectively monitor a variety of activities including inspections of equipment and materials received onsite, compliance with specifications, procedures, drawings, submittals and inspections and tests. Key Responsibilities and Duties:Promote and enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring all team members understand and adhere to safety protocols and demonstrating safe behavior Survey project sites, evaluate potential challenges and identify site requirements based on job needs and client specificationsCommission equipment, to include installation and testing of various site equipment and machineryResponsible for ongoing maintenance of site equipment and machineryConduct field tests, identify and provide solutions for onsite problems that may arise throughout the project lifecycleMonitor progress and ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects Provides technical support and guidance to onsite teamsEnsures compliance with industry standards, environmental laws and health and safety regulationsServe as the field representative, collaborating with the Field Quality Manager and site management to ensure compliance with QAQC requirements, scope of the project, and Standard Operating ProceduresWork closely with the Field Quality Manager and site management as the field representative ensuring construction complies with the QAQC requirements, scope, and Standard Operating ProceduresParticipate in Plan of Day (POD) meetings, including preparing materials and communicating information across teams as neededTrain, coach and mentor lower-level field engineers and internsTravel to jobsites as neededOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience3-5 years of experience as an EPC Field Engineer. Solar, Wind or Battery Storage experience strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong client-facing and internal communications and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of the concept of Project ManagementProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry standard software and tools (ProCore, NetSuite, Viewpoint etc)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to read, interpret and analyze blueprints and other technical documentsUnderstanding of construction safety and QAQC standards and best practicesAdvanced problem solving skillsAbility to work effectively with and provide leadership to a diverse team.Work Environment:This is an "on site" role, involving travel to jobsites across the US up to 100% of the time.
