Core Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for military electro-optical products.Provide support from concept to production delivery, including design, debug, test, and qualification.Develop engineering design fixes and coordinate solutions.Support circuit design, component selection, procurement, and prototype hardware debug and builds.Review and develop hardware and software requirement documents and test plans.Maintain strong record-keeping skills to track design changes, debug status, hardware, and software revisions.Skills and Experience:Experience with engineering development and test tools.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.Strong multitasking skills.Ability to travel to supplier and government sites.Desired Knowledge Areas:IPC and MIL standards.Digital and analog circuit design.Power, thermal analysis, timing, biasing, voltage and current control, LED control, data packet deciphering, etc.Schematic development, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout.Engineering design, development, and analysis software: Desired: MATLAB, MATHCAD, Mentor Graphics Schematic Capture, CAMView, or CAM350.Microprocessor-based products: processors, chipsets, memory and bus interfaces, networking standards (PCI-xpress, DDR2, DDR3, USB, SATA, DVI, etc.).Microcontrollers: IDEs, configuration, coding, and programming.
