Electrical Engineer

The Project Construction Organization's Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our offshore Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) team. CVOW, the largest project of its kind in the United States, is a 2,6 GW wind farm located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach consisting of 176 wind turbines generators, three 880 MW offshore substations, and all the associated high-voltage subsea cabling.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Provide technical support and advice to construction and procurement teams in regard to wind turbine electrical systems and equipment, construction schedule, project design, work plans, and troubleshooting• Evaluate equipment proposals to ensure conformance with project specifications• Contribute to the procurement strategy for the project in relation to electrical equipment selection, commercial evaluation, and technical risksopportunities, with direct responsibility for the technical aspects• Work with the wider Engineering team to ensure engineering requirements in the contracts are understood and incorporated into all design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities
