Matern Staffing is hiring a Process Engineering Manager for a circuit board manufacturer in Fredericksburg, VA. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee and optimize manufacturing processes for printed circuit boards, driving efficiency, quality, and innovation. You'll use your manufacturing process expertise and problem-solving skills to collaborate with internal teams to optimize cost, time, quantity, and quality to meet customer needs and company targets. This is a direct hire position in the Fredericksburg, VA office. Salary: $75K - $90KBenefits: Paid Vacation8 Paid HolidaysHealth, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401K PlanProfit SharingTuition ReimbursementWhat You'll Do: Lead and mentor plant engineers, co-ops, and interns through training, evaluation, and clear delegation of tasks, ensuring alignment with company policies and safety standards Oversee equipment capacity, process capability, and capital expenditures, including the qualification of new equipment and process improvements Resolve equipment, safety, product, and quality issues, driving root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions Collaborate with customers to address product design, needs, and issue resolution Use statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate equipment and improve process capability Provide technical guidance and support across plant operations, supervising projects and ensuring operational excellence Maintain a safe, clean work environment and proactively communicate safety concerns and procedural improvements What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in engineering At least 5 years' experience within a technical andor production environment with strong floor level experience Previous printed circuit manufacturing experience (preferred) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process control, including Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Process analysis Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness Active listening and proactive thinking skills to anticipate roadblocks, resolve issues, and implement solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating effectively with teammates, customers, and other departments Enjoys learning how things work and has a curiosity for brainstorming process improvements and findingimplementing solutions About our client: Our client is a global corporation offering design, development, prototypes and manufacturing solutions for aerospace and defense electronic products and subsystems.
