An aerospace client is looking for an Assembler to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Location: Madison, AL 35756 (On-site)Position: AssemblerPay Rate: $20hr. - $25hr. on W2Duration: 3 months or longerSchedule: 5x8 (M-F) RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand andor power tools, jigs, and saws. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.KnowledgeConsiderable knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.Supervision Given and Received Direct supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments. Typical Duties and Tasks Duties & tasks are varied but standardized. Performs some more advanced functions. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex questions to higher levels. Consequence of Errors Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customeruser dissatisfaction. Contacts Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization.
