We are currently hiring a Transportation Safety Specialist in our Long Beach, CA branch.Key Responsibilities:Compliance Management: Evaluate, monitor, analyze and identify all driver and vehicle compliance and non-compliance issues and resolve them in a timely manner (ELDELDVIR).Monitoring Activity: Responsible for monitoring driver qualifications, training, records, and DOT drug testing.Reporting: Internal and external compliance, vehicle and employee accidentsincidents, and participation in investigations.Vehicle Inspection and Auditing: Maintain roadside inspections and citations including overweight, traffic violations, etc. and conduct daily driver audits.Analyze Trends: Analyze and identify any trends and corrective actions for accident claims, safety topics, and provide ideas for solutions.Safety Coordination: Assist with assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and compliance requirements for commercial and non-commercial drivers.Certification Completion: Complete Bragg Training Academy driver training, OSHA 10 & 30, and Transportation Professional certifications.Policy Enforcement: Collaborate on creating and implementing Bragg Heavy Transport safety standard practices, procedures, trainings and meetings.Required Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: 5 years of experience working in DOT compliance. Previous performance of HOS, drug and alcohol testing, vehicle maintenancerecord keeping dustry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of transportationlogistics, DOT & FMCSA rules and regulations.Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office with good computer terpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, initiative to be an independent thinker, and ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner.Flexibility: Ability to be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week for emergency response.Behavioral Traits: Alignment with Bragg's values of safety, integrity, quality and superior service.Work EnvironmentTravel: Must be able to travel to other branches as required, approximately 25%-35% of the time. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.Location: Ability to work at our Headquarters in Long Beach, CA.Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
