Laboratory Technician (robot control, Camera)

Job Title: Lab Technician Locations: Onsite; Redmond, WADuration: 12 Months to startYou'll be responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art research labs, including optical, robotics, and calibration spaces. You will oversee day-to-day operations for the lab space. 4-6 years of experience, Engineering background, or equivalent technical experienceMust-Have SkillsExperience with robot control, Experience and documenting test procedures, and validation reports, Experience with multiple aspects of camera systems, including lens selection, data collection, and camera calibration, Fast learning about new equipment, and Familiarity with safety systems, including interlock, laser lockouts, and optical curtainsExcellent documentation and report-writing skillsExcellent cross-functional teamwork skillsLogical and creative thinkingEnergy and drive to work in a startup environmentNice-to-have Skills Familiarity with software for controlling lab equipment (e.g. LabVIEW, CC ++, Python, ROS, etc.)Familiarity in physics and opticsFamiliarity with optical systems (interferometer, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, etc.)Experience as a lap technician in the fields of optics, electronics, or roboticsResponsibilities:Worked closely with engineers to perform measurements on prototype and production systems, including viewing optics, digital camera lenses, and tracking systems.Maintain a high level of documentation for test procedures and resultsOversee lab equipment installation, and bring up by interfacing with internal and external partners and vendors.Assist in space planning for lab reconfiguration to support evolving research projects.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree requiredExperience with robot controlExperience and documenting test procedures, and validation reportsExperience with multiple aspects of camera systems, including lens selection, data collection, camera calibrationFast learning about new equipmentFamiliarity with safety systems, including interlock, laser lockouts, and optical curtainsExcellent documentation and report-writing skills
