They are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join their team. The Senior Environmental Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the company's environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within their petrochemical and refining operations. This position will focus on securing and renewing essential operating permits, implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 standards, and serving as a key liaison with regulatory agencies. Focus: Lead and manage environmental programs at the facility, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and internal teams to secure and renew essential operating permits (e.g., RCRA, NPDES, Title V). Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 14001 environmental management systems to align with the company's sustainability goals. Oversee environmental compliance audits and reporting, while proactively managing any potential risks or violations. Serve as the primary liaison with state and federal environmental agencies, ensuring that all interactions and communications meet regulatory requirements. Skill Set: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. At least six years of professional experience in environmental management, preferably gained within the oil and gas, chemical processing, or similar heavy industry sectors. Proven success in managing the permitting process, including obtaining and renewing operating permits (such as RCRA, NPDES, and Title V). Experience in working with regulatory authorities on a state and federal level. Strong knowledge and experience with the ISO 14001 standard, including program development and compliance management. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future. Proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
