Job Description SummarySouth Jersey Industries is searching for a professional with a breadth of finance experience to support and lead all the financial planning activities for our two regulated Utilities. This role will oversee a department responsible for all financial management activities including capital forecasting, rolling forecast and financial analyses in line with corporate goals. This leader will advise management on expected business performance and influence operational decision-making with financial data.Essential Functions:Lead the annual operating budget process and become a trusted advisor to the supported unitSupervise, coach and prioritize the workflow of FP&A analysts who perform financial forecasting, reporting and cash flow analysisActively upgrade the department through professional development and creating career paths for team membersAnalyze performance, identify areas of risk and opportunity and make recommendations to Finance and Operations leadership for improvementsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and leading the effort to resolve finance issuesPrepare analyses, forward-looking P&L, BS and CF financials and pro-forma financials for investorsCreate, promote and sustain a high-performing culture; continuously raise the performance bar for the finance organizationLeverage analytical tools including visualizations and deliver actionable presentations of findingsDemonstrate appropriate understanding of accounting principes and internal controlsPrepare ad hoc financial reportsanalysis for managementPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Background: Experienced financial leader with the ability to anticipate future consequences trends and incorporate them into the organizational planningMust be able to collaborate with all levels of the organizationExperience with financial modelingSuperior communication (writtenverbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skillsHighly motivated, takes initiative, and has a desire to drive process improvementAbility to learn quickly and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detailPossess a working knowledge of the Utility industryProficient in Microsoft Office ProductsPreferred Background:CPA is a plusQualificationsRequired Background:Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or;Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experienceIn addition, a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience is required
