SummaryThe primary focus of this role is to assist in the management of the time, travel, and expense programs to maintain adherence to corporate risk and control policies. Additionally, this role will assist the broader finance organization in other support functions. These tasks may include expense coding and review, internal and external reporting requests, project accounting requests, or other accounting tasks. This role will collaborate & communicate with all members of the accountingfinance departments and operations management across the broader Company footprint and other owner-operating companies.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Support and emulate the Company's Core ValuesAssist in the preparation and implementation of Travelpurchasing card policiesproceduresExpense report platform user maintenance and user supportProgram compliance and control reviewProgram reporting and analysisLead in implementation of a standard tool, including communication and user trainingAssist accounts payable staff in additional expense codingreviewAssist the controllership function in external reportingAssist with other finance and accounting support functionsCollaborate with all members of the Accounting Department to implement process improvement initiatives to increase accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of datareporting.Support the process improvement group with company-wide initiatives that may include both accounting and operational processesAssist both the internal and external audit functions including maintaining proper documentation according to internal control frameworkAssist in preparing special reports and studies requested by managementPerform other duties as assignedPhysical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, office equipment or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift more than 10 pounds.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is required to work in an indoor environment.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diplomaStrong attention to detail and data accuracyAssociate degree in accounting, finance, or related field, preferred1+ years accounting work in public or corporate settingAdditional Eligibility QualificationsExperience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.Professional work in a large company setting with exposure to GL coding and related accounting teractions with internal and external customers.Experience in communicating data and performance measures to the management team.Experience with company purchasing card programs and administration.ERP system experience - preferably PENTAStrong personal computer and business solutions software skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Software.Advanced Excel knowledge.Previous T&E system experience.System integration experience.Ability to perform computations with reasonable speed and accuracy.Solid organizational and communication skills with high attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong willingness to learn.Otis Minnesota is an equal opportunity employer.
