Senior Air Quality Specialist

About the PositionThe Senior Air Quality Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the quality of reports prepared by the team, have a strong background (5-10 years) in air quality planning, project management, and leadership, with a commitment to delivering results that meet regulatory standards and client expectations. This role will be responsible for effectively managing and preparing multiple air quality projects. Responsibilities:Project Management: Oversee multiple air quality projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client and regulatory requirements. Coordinate resources and manage project schedules.Technical Analysis & Reporting: Supervise the preparation of air qualityenergygreenhouse gashealth risk assessment technical analyses. This includes air dispersion modeling, emissions inventories, air quality impact assessments, and compliance with jurisdictional goals and policies. Ensure all technical work meets industry standards and regulatory guidelines.Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive reviews of technical reports, project deliverables, and presentations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with internal and external quality standards.Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain positive relationships and provide strategic advice on air quality management and regulatory compliance. Write proposals and assist with the development of discipline-related marketing materials as neededRegulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and federal air quality regulations. Provide guidance on environmental policies, permitting, and compliance strategies.Leadership: Support the development of junior team members and company associates. Contribute to the improvement of departmental processes and procedures. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 5-10 years related work experience.Experience using air quality models including CalEEMod, EMFAC, and AERMODAERSCREEN.
