The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and machine tools. The position requires a thorough knowledge of electrical circuits and components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical drives and components, hand tools and fasteners, welding equipment, and a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be stall, repair and maintain metal fabricating and machining equipment, including laser and plasma cutting machines, press brakes, shears, lathes, drills, and manual and robotic MIG welding systems supporting production operations. Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems utilizing all available resources in order to select the most cost-effective solution.Identify required repair parts and complete purchase order request.Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and vehicles in order to optimize machine resource utilization. Perform facilities maintenance and repair of tools and equipment to ensure reliable utilization, compliance, reliability, and safety; including items such as HVAC, cranes, lifts, hoists, general building structure, etc.Maintain and repair high bay lights pneumatic power generation and transmission.Education andor Experience - The individual must have a high school diploma or GED. A technical diploma in electromechanical maintenance or a minimum of five to ten years of maintenance and repair experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge and strong skills in the area of electro-mechanical maintenance and repair of machine tools (including CNC), 480 volt 3 phase electrical power systems, hydraulic repairs & operating knowledge of fabrication tools (presses, shears, brakes & welders), HVAC system repair, basic plumbing, PC controlsdiagnosticstroubleshooting, ACDC servo drives & electric motors, overhead crane inspectionrepair and paint systems troubleshootingrepair is preferred. Basic computer skills (e-mail, Word, and Excel) and experience using PC based preventive maintenance software is also preferred.
