Position Summary: Job Summary The Merchandising Team Manager leads a team responsible for all customer facing store merchandising. This includes processing and placement of new receipts, visualmerchandise presentation, promotional signage, and all operational responsibilities to drive store profitability. You will lead a team that cares for our customers by delivering an outstanding omni experience. You are empowered to do the right thing. Essential Functions: Job Functions Do the right thing: • Be an expert in Multi-Channel Sales focusing on merchandising and operational execution with accuracy and efficiency including a comprehensive knowledge of all Standard Operating Procedures. • Ensure timely floor setups, including signage, for promotional events and seasonal business activity; this includes Daily Deals, Weekly Spotlight, Doorbusters, Cardholder promotions, etc. • Ensure accuracy of promotional presentation including visual signing, key item placement and seasonal fashion trend statements. • Lead the Merchandising Team to present merchandise consistent with visual merchandising standards and seasonal directives. • Ensure direction from Seasonal playbook is executed. • Partner with Store Manager when variations of directives are needed. • Partner with the Sales Team Manager (STM) and OMNI leader to support the overall management of merchandise presentation of the store. • Train and support direct reports in all merchandising and operational processes and procedures. This includes markdowns, markups, truck processing (Door to Floor), and RFID (cycle counts, display audits, gap tagging) • Overall responsibility to ensure maintenance of store, i.e. Housekeeping, work orders, supplies, equipment repair. • Maintain a safe working environment. • Assist Store Manager by scheduling and executing actionable weekly Workload Planning meetings.• Drive store metrics (ACES) and participate as manager on duty (Customer Champion) as needed. • Open and close store, including weekends. Care for our Customer: • Ensure associates engage customers with a welcoming and friendly attitude. • Lead team to drive the Customer Experience both in store and Omni by strong communication with peers, recovery and pick path optimization. Grow outstanding teams: • Recruit, interview, and select and retain quality associates and ensure all positions are filled in a timely manner. • Ensure all associates are trained and complete all necessary onboarding. • Responsible for addressing all concerns or problems that develop within your team. • Provide effective coaching, to direct reports. • Set goals and identify areas for improvement for direct reports. • Maintain high store associate engagement. Provide efficient, timely communication of policies and other information. • Conduct timely performance management process and communicate development needs with subordinates. • Develop and promote a diverse team. • Communicate career paths and advancement opportunities with associates. Education Experience Requirements: Position Contribution Level: Intermediate Level Minimum Education & Experience: • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience in retail management. • Significant leadership experience Preferred Education & Experience: Knowledge Skills Requirements: Knowledge & Skills • Proficient in computer business-related computer equipment and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). • Excellent leadership, supervisory, analytical, and reasoning skills. Physical Requirements: ability to stand for majority of work day; ability to communicate clearly in English; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. above shoulder level, etc. Physical • Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment. • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. • Ability to push pull receiving equipment weighing up to 500 lbs. such as rolling flats, z-rails, and pallet jacks. • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Ability to twist, bend and stoop to retrieve items from floor, shelves, racks, and hooks and place items on floor, shelves, racks, and hooks • Ability to work at a safe and steady pace.
