Data Center Engineer

Title: Data Center Technical Operations Engineer IDescription: The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within an Amazon Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.36-48hr. per week based on a rotating schedule. shifts are 5:30am-5:30pm Responsibilities:Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and proceduresEstablish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenanceWork with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiencyOperate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etcMay assist in the design and build out of new facilitiesMay assist in projects to increase current facility efficiencyResponsible for asset and inventory managementAssist in recruiting effortsDeliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are metBasic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or Technical (Military Trade School) Degree and relevant experience0-2 years of relevant work experience0-2 years of management experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong leadership and organizational skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications- 0-2 years of Data Center Engineering Experience0-2 years of Data Center Management ExperienceBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper fiber) cabling
