Director of Sales - Ladson, SCSummary DescriptionThe Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share. This leadership role requires a proven track record in sales, excellent team management skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs. This role will hold a seat on the Regional Management Team and be responsible for working on the overall business strategy and leading the local team.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create comprehensive sales plans aligned with the company's objectivesIdentify market trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis to inform strategy developmentDrive initiatives to increase sales, expand customer base, and achieve revenue targetsTeam Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the inside and outside sales teams to achieve their goalsSet clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and promote a collaborative team environmentRecruit, train, and develop sales professionals to enhance the team's capabilitiesCustomer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholdersUnderstand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needsEnsure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and service deliveryProduct and Market Development: Collaborate with product development teams to enhance existing products and introduce new offerings to the marketConduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and areas for growthPerformance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of strategiesMake data-driven decisions and recommend adjustments to optimize sales and marketing effortsGather customer feedback & insights to enhance service offerings and improve customer satisfactionCollaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from sales through service deliveryCompetencies & SkillsProven leadership skills and ability to manage a geographically dispersed teamStrong level of negotiation skillsProven ability to drive sales plan to closeMust be well organized and a self-starterExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with MS officePrior experience with CRM softwareEducation & Experience12+ years' experience in B2B sales leadership, directing other sales managersExperience with pumps, ground water drilling, water treatment, irrigation, rainwater, poolpond, sewage, HVAC or plumbing a mustExperience working with a three step distribution in diverse industry segmentsExperience in a Manufacturing Rep environmentEcommerce and online retailing a plusWorking ConditionsUp to 50% travel to dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.
